End User License Agreement

This is the plugin’s license. By installing or using Patch Together you agree to it. If you do not agree, do not install it. “We” and “us” mean Dustin Lacewell.

1. What you may do

You may install and use Patch Together on computers you own or control, for your own music making, including commercial music. You need a Patch Together account to use the online features; the account is covered by the Terms of Service.

2. What you may not do

Copy, share, upload, sell, rent, or otherwise redistribute the plugin, in whole or in part.
Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or otherwise try to recover the source code, except where the law says we cannot forbid it.
Modify the plugin or make anything derived from it.
Remove or change any copyright, license, or ownership notice.
Use the plugin to build a competing product or service.
Work around the account, session, or participant limits.

3. Ownership

We own the plugin and everything in it. This agreement licenses it to you; it does not sell it to you. Your patches and music are yours.

4. Updates

The plugin checks for updates and offers them to you. Updates are covered by this agreement unless a new one comes with them.

5. Third-party software

Patch Together includes open-source components under their own licenses. Their notices are in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt, included with the plugin. Those licenses apply to those components only.

6. No warranty

The plugin is provided “as is”. We do not promise it is free of errors, that it will work with every setup, or that it will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage from using it, including lost work. If you are in a beta, expect bugs.

7. Ending this license

This license ends if you break it. When it ends, delete the plugin. We may also stop providing the online service; sections 3, 6, and 8 survive.
