Patch Together is run by Dustin Lacewell, an individual (“we”, “us”).
These terms cover your Patch Together account and the online service: the lobby, sessions, and updates. The plugin itself is covered by its End User License, which you accept when you install it.
Your account
- You need an account to host or join sessions. Keep your password to yourself; what happens under your account is on you.
- One person, one account. Do not share accounts or make accounts for other people.
- You must be old enough to agree to a contract where you live.
- You can delete your account from the account page at any time.
Using the service
- Sessions are shared spaces. Do not use them to harass people, break the law, or interfere with other people’s sessions.
- Do not probe, overload, or work around the service, its limits, or its security. Do not run bots or scripts against it without written permission from us.
- Do not copy, redistribute, reverse engineer, or resell the plugin. That is the license, and it is also these terms.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If a moderator removes you from a session, stay out.
Beta
While the beta runs, approved testers get the paid capacity for free. That is a courtesy, not a promise. It ends when the beta ends. Beta software has bugs and can lose work; back up your patches.
Paid plans
- The free plan limits how many people can be in a session you host. Paid plans raise that limit.
- Paid plans are not on sale during the beta.
- If sales open: payments are handled by Stripe, and plans renew until you cancel from the account page. For a refund, email dlacewell@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase.
- We may change prices with notice before your next renewal.
Your content
Your patches are yours. When you host or join a session, the patch is sent to the other participants so they can see and edit it; that is the product. We do not claim ownership of anything you make.
Our content
The plugin, the site, the service, and the Patch Together name are ours. These terms do not give you any right to them beyond using the service as described.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy says what we collect, where it goes, and how to have it deleted. We do not sell your data.
No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided “as is”. It may go down, change, or end. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost work, lost sessions, or any indirect damage, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last twelve months.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email account holders before it takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept it.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States. Contact: dlacewell@gmail.com.
